And Cook----- The Company
Established in 1924 by Robert B. Skinner and Henry Cook, the company started by designing and constructing radio broadcast towers and facilities. RCA and Major Edwin Armstrong (the inventor of FM broadcasting) worked with SKINNER & COOK building numerous high profile projects such as the Alpine Tower and the NBC Television antennae atop the Empire State building. With offices in NYC and NJ, the next 6 decades proved challenging and successful as the company expanded into commercial structures and buildings like banks, hospitals, office buildings and one-of-a-kind structures. Notable projects include, The Central Park Children's Zoo, West Point Trinity Cathedral, Cardinal Spellman Monastary, Emigrant Savings Banks and NJ Bell Headquarters (now Verizon). Never losing sight of the company roots, SKINNER & COOK keeps alive the tradition of excellence as a leader in wireless construction from its early beginnings, into the new millennium and beyond. All our clients recognize the superior quality, expertise, on-schedule completion dates and adaptability to respond to field conditions and changing needs that SKINNER & COOK offers. Now 3rd generation
owned, SKINNER & COOK continues to incorporate the founder's strong
principles of industry knowledge, honesty, competitive pricing and customer
satisfaction never sacrificing quality workmanship. SKINNER & COOK
is proud of its reputation in the industry, which is reflected in every
employee, from the field to upper management. |
